Audie is an amazing teacher.  She simplifies complicated movements and makes the class light hearted and fun.  Just watching her move is an experience in itself!  She teaches in a non intimating way that allows even the most self conscious woman to radiate her inner beauty.  I highly recommend it ~ I'll be there!     -Lynda Marlin, Founder LivYoga

This dance created by Audie brings you to a time when ritual dances enlivened the halls of ancient Egyptian temples. The soft, fluid undulations and hip movements encourage students to focus on their center to balance body, mind and spirit.  Class consists of meditative dance routines and centering postures.

About Audie

Audie Odum-Stellato has been performing since 1990 and teaching since 1994.  Since her introduction to the dance she has become a student of the cultures, languages and philosophies of Ancient Egypt and North Africa.  Audie continued her dance studies with Morocco, Mohamad Shehein, Leila Haddad, Madam Amel Tafsout, Aziza, Hadia of Canada, Fatiem of DC and many others. Her style of dance combines the classic Egyptian Cabaret with, Beladi and other North African Dances.  The result is earthy, sensual and elegant with dramatic phrasing. As a Shiatsu Practitioner, and graduate of the Ohashiatsu Institute in New York, Audie uses her background in Asian medicine and physiology to explore the healthful properties of belly dance.  Audie’s has a BA in Communication Theory and uses these skills to write articles on health and dance for holistic and art newsletters and magazines.
