This workshop provides the opportunity for a non-directed inner experience that supports the discovery of life enhancing awareness. Phoenix Rising Yoga uses verbal cues rather than demonstrations to guide students to find their own unique version of each posture reflecting their individual experience in the moment. Through the cultivation of careful listening to thoughts, feelings and sensations, students are invited on a journey of self-discovery that has the potential for conscious application in daily life.

Yoga postures, centering, and meditation are all part of this process-based practice to enhance conscious awareness. Each week a different area of consciousness is explored (such as: “how you make choices”) during a one hour and 15 minute class. Regular attendance is optimal though not required. Bring balance to your emotional and physical body through a student-centered yoga experience. Beginning yoga practitioners are welcome.

About Liz I.

Soon after, she noticed that she was bringing bits and pieces of the immense freedom and nurturing offered by yoga practice to her life as a wife, mother, and most profoundly, as a lawyer. Registered as a Kripalu Yoga Teacher in 2006, she has continued studying with numerous teachers of various styles and types of yoga including: Amy Weintraub, Richard Miller, Sianna Sherman, Naime Jezzney, Seane Corn, Jai Uttal and Parvathi Nanda Nath Saraswati. Liz completing her certification as a Phoenix Rising Yoga Teacher in September 2007.  She is currently finishing her studies as a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, and will offer one-on-one therapeutic sessions in early 2008.   Liz’s classes seek to honor the individual experience of each student and she believes that flow-style yoga provides a doorway into the present moment and an opportunity to recognize our intrinsic spaciousness.  Class schedule, Private training, Yoga Thai Massage, Phoenix Rising Series
