Teacher Training FAQs

Mission of Teacher Training

To provide students with a deeper understanding of the depth and breadth of Hatha Yoga.  With the support, education, tools and techniques of several methodologies LivYoga teacher trainees will leave this training empowered as teachers and students of yoga to have their own voice--hence meeting their students or their own personal needs on several levels.

LivYoga teacher includes the exploration, methodology, philosophy and knowledge from different yoga systems.   This unique program will be a spring board to educate teachers to think on their feet, offer quality and safe yoga programs to the community, and set a strong foundation on which they can build over time.   We would like trainees to come away from this several month program with a better sense of what it means to ‘do’ yoga vs. ‘live’ yoga.

Registered 200 Hour Training School

Hatha:  Various styles  LivYoga teacher training will include an embodiment of all the diverse styles of Hatha yoga (including Vinyasa flow, Viniyoga, Kripalu, Anusara, Restorative and more) as an "eclectic mix” of Hatha styles and traditions.

Comment from 2007 participants:

  • "It has been extraordinary. I am so happy to be going in this direction."  -Dawn
  • "It's the well rounded liberal arts education of yoga!" -Fay

This training is for anyone who would like to teach the gift of yoga or is just interested in deepening their current practice and knowledge of yoga. This training will be taught by senior LivYoga instructors and some guest instructors who have breadth and depth of experiences in various yogic capacities and  a  tremendous passion for what they do every single day.

We at LivYoga understand that very few students can drop their lives for training so we have designed this teacher training schedule with 'flexibility in mind.'
