Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to start time to allow time for check-in
and spend a few minutes getting ready

Let the teacher know of any injuries or limitations, or pregnancy

Turn off all cell phones and pagers. Please, no exceptions as this
is a courtesy to the others in the class. If it is ABSOLUTELY necessary
to have a cel phone, it must be worn, and on vibrate mode as to not
disturb the class. Consider scheduling a private yoga session where you
may free to bring your cell phone

Food/drinks/gum are not permitted anywhere in the studio. Water is
permitted

Do not wear fragrances or perfumes

Bring a towel or rent a towel if you sweat in class

Try not to enter class late or leave early. This will ensure that
you and the rest of the class get the full benefit as there are many
subtle and powerful aspects that you may not be aware of

By keeping talking to a minimum you develop the meditative state that will
bring your practice and concentration to a high level

Do what you can and listen to your body

Practice a non-competitive and non-judgmental attitude (both externally
and internally)

Remember, mind over matter. If you think you cant do it you wont be

Listen and respond to your body. Know that there is no wrong way to do

Challenge yourself to stay where you are. You dont have to do what
someone else does

Practice going inside yourself during the class

Use rest poses anytime you feel like it and know you are still doing
something good for yourself

Open your mind to new teachers and classes and discover the new
experiences that come with it
