He traveled to India in 2000 to study at the Krisnamacarya Yoga Mandiram in Madras, India under the tutelage of T.K.V.Desikachar and his senior students. After many trips to Maui, Kraftsow certified him to teach yoga in 2003; then as a yoga therapist in 2005.
