Fire at LivYoga
June 24th, 2004

Resilient recovery

Keep on

Glowin'...

Rising from the ashes

On the 24th of June, 2004, a fire broke out at one of the downstairs units.  An explosion occurred and the fire spread rapidly across the complex, sparing only the liquor store.  Everyone in the complex was evacuated safely.

Lynda along with several students watched the fire unfold.  LivYoga suffered extensive fire, smoke and water damage and the roof caved into the studio area.

Over the course of the next year the entire building was rebuilt from its core and LivYoga classes were held at a temporary location.

LivYoga reopened almost one year to the day of the fire.

Thank you!

LivYoga wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude everyone who came out in support the studio both at the time of the fire and for the year thereafter.  Your patience, commitment and kindness meant more than you know and it is because of you all that we were able to continue.

With much gratitude and love,

Lynda & the LivYoga Staff

Liv's story

Livyoga originally opened it's doors at Livingston Yoga on December 11th 2001.  Liv soon outgrew it's one room studio and moved to it's current location only 2 years later after extensive renovations, this was our newly expanded facility in Dec 2003:
